The inside of the cake was marbled to represent the different types of audiences an author can encounter. While the "flavors" can be chocolate or vanilla, each person has their own special makeup, opinions, or views. Every slice of cake will be a different combination and ratio of chocolate or vanilla, making their cake take slightly different, just like every person is difference. No audience is the exact same.

The cake was frosted in a purple frosting to make it bright and interesting. In writing, the audience must be attracted to what it is reading, looking at, or experiencing.
